Opening Sequence James Bond Skyfall

I Watched a lot of Opening Sequences at The Art Of The Titel
and i was inspired by a few

James Bond Skyfall

I have to say that i always liked the James Bond Opening Sequences they are very special and nice to watch in my opinion.

The beginning of the Opening Sequence

James Bond (Daniel Craig) is falling in the water
and the music drops in.

On this image we can see that James Bond is
Shot that could be a clue for what happens
in the movie

Now we see a hand grab Bonds hand

We can see the first text in the opening sequence here
it usually the producer, director or the company
which has produced the movie.

The second text is normally the main/star actor
in the movie
Danie Craig in this one

He sinks to the ground of the ocean and suddenly
a hole appears in the ground of the ocean

Now he falls through the hole.

Now the Titel of the film appears on the screen in
Capital letters

Now the Names of the different actors in the
movie are shown

Now we have again a James bond target
which is shot and blood is leaking out of
his chest

Women are always a part of James Bond
Opening Sequences. That one could be a allusion
to the Bond girl

The camera goes down her body to make the
illusion of sex appeal

Now we are at the ground of the ocean

There i a new location now
its a cemetery

Why have they chosen a cemetery?
i think they have chosen it because
dead an murder a always parts of
an James Bond movie and we just
associate cemetery's with dead.

Now we have big color chance from blue to red

And a complete new theme
We have a new theme now everything is red
and it looks like we are in a forest with red fog

Zoom-in to James Bonds eye starts

Now we have an extreme Close-up of

James Bonds eye and the camera
goes "through" his eye into the next
part of the opening sequence.

In the Next Frame we now have more names
on the screen i think now are all the
people shown who worked at the movie
(camera,make-up,light stuff like that)

James Bond is now in alone in dark catacombs

it looks like he is searching for somebody
he is probably looking for his enemies.

He is hunting is own shadows

Than somebody appears behind him

and shots have been fired

The camera moves through one of the
bullet holes and we are in the next part again
Now we are at a new "location"
the theme of the background changes valued all
30 second. Some of the different background are
in context with the Storyline in the movie

Its underwater again now but this time we have
the red fog underwater as well
and it has the shape of a skull

Now we have a women again how I've earlier
mentioned women are always an important role
i the James Bond movies.
But that women holds a gun in her hand and thats
something that is associated with James Bond

The camera moves through the hole in the gun
and its a new theme again

There are a lot of burning James Bond
targets now

I recognized that in the entire opening
sequence everything and everybody try's
to kill Bond
I think that could be a allusion to what
happens to him in the movie.

New theme of the background again and that one
is chosen in connection with the part of the movie
that is filmed in china because a lot of people
associate china with dragons.

Now we have a complete color switch again to
Black and withe

We have a women again
Next to the women a guns and other weapons
so we have a few things here a again which
are associated with James Bond

Here we still have names of the person which
worked on the movie

In my opinion we have a very interesting
theme here with the abstract figures

Now we have a skull again
so the producers are giving us a few clues
that there is a lot of dead in the movie

There is another cemetery

On that cemetery is a new excavated grave

Aerial shot of James Bond

We are in a room with a lot of mirrors
now

James Bond shoots himself in the mirror

Now we are in the catacombs again

Here is James Bond shot again

I noticed that after every theme there is a close-up
to something for example James Bonds eye or
a hole in a wall how we can see above and than
the Camera goes throw that hole and we are in a
new location or different theme

We are on the cemetery again
and its raining stones

Now we have a Zoom-in to his eye again

Still a Zoom-in to James Bond eye

Thats the end of the sequence the camera goes

"through" his eye and we are starting in the movie
Now in the last frame we have the name of the Director
Sam Mendes

Other Media Which inspired me 2.0

Another media product that really inspired me is the music video of I Got U of Duke Dumont.

The music video starts in a flat and shows a man looking out of the window and its a rainy day. Then the doorbell rings and the post boy brings a package.

In the package is a mask which apparently is better than real life.

The main character in the video than puts on the mask and he experiences the world which was titled as better than real life before.

Now the video is shot out of the POV perspective of the character and that is what inspired me the entire video was shot in POV and that takes the participation of the audience to a whole new level because they are literally able to feel what is going on.

The nest media that inspired me is the TV show House of Cards.
Overall the series is about politicians in Washington and how they do there jobs and get what they want.

The main character is Francis Underwood which literally would do anything for his success and to push his career in the right direction.
He for example kills to people which might could cause some problems in the future so how i said he is reckless.

What me really inspired was the acting of Kevin spacey which plays Frank Underwood.
The way in which he presents himself and how he creates some kind of mystery around his character with his acting is simply amazing and really inspired me.

Best Thrillers of all time

Inglorious Basterds

Once again Tarantino surprised everybody with his crazy idea and it worked. Bending comedy with war tragedy, inglorious Basterds is a masterfully directed movie that makes suspense movies and horror villains look like sesame Street and the cookie monster, respectively

Cloverfield

I loved this movie, the concept is not original, but there is not too many movies out there with this kind of first-person camera work and the effects make this an amazing thrilling view.
All the special effects used to destroy New York city and to illustrate the ''monster'' are simply great and how i already said because the entire movie is filmed in the POV of the character it crates a whole new felling of horror in my opinion.

The Birds

To be honest, this movie was a shock. Personally I don't really like old movie but this one was brilliant indeed. Having watched a bunch of Hitchcock movies before, i had medium expectations about that but, i was proved wrong this movie really scared the hell out of me.

The most notable things about this movie is the incredible cast, the very gripping very simplistic story and the fact that it was one of the very few movies where i could truly feel the horror and terror.

Other Media Products Which Inspired Me

Drake: Hold On We're Going Home

The music video too Drakes Hold on we're Going Home inspired me because of the good camera work in it and i really like the
slow-motion elements in it.

The Walking Dead

Is one of the Best TV-Series of all time in my opinion.
In The Walking Dead the Mise-en-scence inspired me the most, because of all the different locations and settings but the main point is definitely the Make Up and Costume. I mean all the Zombies in the series are painted and they look so realistic.

In the last couple of days I've started to watch a lot of thriller movies and series and various music videos to improve my knowledge about the entire Cutting, Mise-en-sence and Opening Sequence stuff.
So the 2 points above are my inspiration from other media so far
but i think in the next few days i will find a lot more.

Which thriller films have inspired you in planning your own thriller

Inspiration for my own thriller

I thought about producing a psycho thriller, because they are my personal favorites.
The following films have inspired me for my work.

Se7en

Se7en really inspired me for my work, because of the entire storyline and how the film is built up.
With the Modus operandi of the psychopath and the theme with the seven deadly sins.

Paranormal Activity 2

Paranormal Activity inspired me because of the fear that comes across seems so real to the audience and they are really scared the entire movie.
will try to create something like that in my movie as well.
I really want that my audience is scared of my movie but in a good why how it should be after you've watched a psycho thriller.

James Bond Skyfall

I like the image of the main character in this movie, James Bond is a mixture of Class, Arrogant, Bad Boy and of course one of the best agents the movie world has ever seen. The camera shots in this movie inspired me as well because its a lot of action happening in this movie and they provide a perfect picture of the scene all the time by using a lot of Pan shots.
I will try to copy a bit of his style and his character over to my main character in the movie because it gives the movie this sort of special touch.

Scarface

Scarface inspired my work because of the great acting of
Al Pacino.
He really brought over the entire feelings and actions that it seems so realistic, and overall i really like his acting style.
So maybe i can put in some of his acting styles in my movie.
The storyline is great as well i think.

I generally like movies where you have one main characters who's pretty "Bad Ass"
